A Place to Live, by Edward George

A Place to Live

How fortunate I am,
To have a place to live.
A place to write.
Word of Light.
For others to hear.
That I can read. That I can give.

I live in a house. In a room
Above the trees
I love to see the leaves
Blowing in the breeze
So calming in my mind. It is here I find peace and serenity

It is here I send my secret thoughts to the Father.
In my private sanctuary. Protected I am
From the World so ruthless and scary.

For the Son of God had no place to lay his head
No room for a bed.
Have mercy oh Lord.
For the homeless
Who live under the bridge
Where the volume is high.

Loud is the city
It is amplified.

How fortunate I am
To have a place to live.
