MICAH works with congregations, faith leaders, and community partners to increase awareness and understanding the need for affordable housing. This creates advocates who fight for changes in public policies to encourage all communities to preserve and build affordable housing.
St. Paul cannot allow annual rent increases to outpace the income growth of working and middle class households.
Residential renters make up 50% of the residents of St Paul, however people in low- and medium-income households, and on fixed incomes, face a shortage of affordable rental units.

On March 19, we will hold an advocacy training for the chapter, with Matt Traynor, MN Homeless Coalition.
Three goals have emerged as top priority:
1. Deepen relationships with communities of color, faith and otherwise.
2. Bring in more members.
3. Provide training on Housing 101.
